Welcome to KNS
KNS is a play-based, year-round preschool that values exploration, creativity, and community.
Arrival & BelongingsFamilies sign children in at the door across from the upper play yard. Parents are welcome to walk their child in, help with handwashing, and place lunch in their cubby. Each child has their own cubby for personal items. Families provide daily snacks and a full change of clothes, stored on site.
CurriculumEach month centers around a theme, along with a featured color and shape. Activities are created by our teachers and shared on the Information Board and in our monthly newsletter from School Director Mardi Kaneko.
Morning MeetingAt 9:00 a.m., children gather for Morning Meeting to review the calendar, celebrate birthdays, sing songs, practice counting in English and Spanish, and learn about the day’s activities.
Learning SpacesKNS has three indoor classrooms and two outdoor play yards.
